The Fisher River Economic Development Corporation is presently seeking applications for: Security Guards
Role:
- Observing and reporting (anything different, unusual, or hazardous)
- Deterring and detecting any criminal activity
- Maintaining good Public Relations on behalf of Fisher River Cree Nation
- Controlling access to community hall and VLT’s
- Patrolling (either on foot or in vehicle to widen the area protected surrounding the community hall/VLT’s)
- Finding and reporting any security or safety hazards
Qualifications:
- Security License issued by Province of Manitoba, must be up to date and current
- Drivers License
- Drivers abstract record
- Ability to communicate verbally and written
- Ethical, confident, and dependable
- Must be physically fit
Job Description:
- Security checks for all Fisher River Band and FRED Businesses
- Checking that doors have been locked and no one is in the area
- Keeping the Peace/Patrol property
- Monitoring surveillance equipment
- Prepare written reports on incidents that have occurred such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Sound alarms and/or call for outside assistance when needed in cases of emergencies by contacting fire department, RCMP/FRCN Constable, ambulance services
- Control traffic if necessary, by directing drivers
- Protection of life/lives and property
- Enforcing by-laws on Fisher River Cree Nation
- Other duties
